Value of a counterfeit 1804 Dollar.

 

Question asked: I bought a 1804 dollar from a street hawker and found out after visiting your site that it is a counterfeit, does it have a value?

Answer: If it is a class "A" copy from the 1804 dollar, so looks like real for many non coin experts the value might be between $25 to $100 on the market.

 

Many coin collectors would be interested in buying a perfect look a like copy of the 1804 dollar knowing they can never afford to buy a real 1804 dollar anyway.

Other copies of the 1804 dollar which are too good to be true fakes are not worth much but they could be used for example as a custom painted coin belt buckle instead to give you an idea what to do with it as no collector would like them.
